Sand Barrens, rated 4 stars by Golf Digest Places to Play, is a beautiful 27=hole championship facility that features manicured tree lined fairways, vast scrub bunkers, and massive undulating greens. This layout has been acknowledged as one of America's Best Modern Courses by Golf Week Magazine.
On property is a 18,000 square foot clubhouse with pro shop, Grill Room, locker rooms with showers and private banquet facilities that can accommodate large wedding receptions (up to 240 guests) as well as small business groups. Practice facilities consist of a double ended targeted grass range, short game area with sand bunker plus putting green. Directions:
From Philadelphia: Take Route 42 to the AC Expressway, get off at Exit 7 South, proceed to the Garden State Parkway, get off at Exit 13 (Avalon-Swainton). At the end of the exit ramp make a right turn and proceed to the traffic light and make another right. Travel north on Route 9 for 1/2 mile, the club entrance is on the left hand side.
